Donate now to the Smith County Disaster Relief Fund.  The Smith County Disaster Relief Fund is set up to improve the quality of life of people and families in Smith County who need assistance following a natural disaster or other life altering event.  You can donate at the Smith County Chamber and at the Gordonsville and Carthage offices of Citizen's Bank.

The Pleasant Shade Community Center's Annual Large Spring Consignment Sale will be held Thursday and Friday, June 25th and 26th from 9am-6pm and on Saturday, June 27th from 8am-2pm.  Once again this year lots of quality items will be displayed for sale.  Concessions will be available.  For more information call 615-677-6514 or 615-683-7525


The Smith County High School Golf Team will have tryouts and an organizational meeting on Thursday, June 18th at 5pm at the Smith County High School Gym.  Players will receive their pre-participation physical forms during this meeting.  All who are interested in playing in the upcoming school year are encouraged to attend.


Due to the COVID-19 situation the SCHS Class of 1970's 50 year reunion has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 1st at 6pm.  The reunion will be held at 136 Clover Street in Granville.  The cost is $20 per person and includes dinner.  Please RSVP by mail to Class of 70, 42 Sunny View Lane, Carthage, TN 37030.  Please include name, address, email and number attending.

The Smith County Election Commission is in need of poll workers for the August 6th election.  State, county or municipal employees, along with anyone 16 years of age or older, can now serve as poll officials.  Anyone who is interested in working the polls should call the Smith County Election Commission at 615-735-8241.
