The Pleasant Shade Community Center will host their Annual Large Fall Consignment Sale on October 15th and 16th from 9am-6pm and October 17th from 8am - 2pm. This is their biggest sale of the year. Concessions will be available. For more information call 615-677-6514.

The 20th Annual Chad's Run 5K run and 1 mile fun walk will be held Saturday, November 7th at Gordonsville High School. Race day registration is $25 and begins at 8:30am with the race starting at 9am. The 12th Annual Westside Haunted Barn is currently underway every Friday and Saturday night through October 31st from 7-10pm at 665 Green Grove Road on Highway 141 between Lafayette and Westmoreland. The cost is $8 per person and active military admitted for free with proof of ID. All the proceeds go to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. For details call 615-655-3073
