The Smith County Senior Center trip to San Antonio, Padre Island and the Gulf of Mexico has been changed to June 14th thru the 22nd.  There is still room for all those who would like to go.  For complete details about the trip please call Jan Johnson at the Senior Center at 615-735-0560.
 
USDA has recently authorized the Smith County FSA Committee to begin accepting applications for emergency farmland clean-up assistance for damage caused to farmland during the March 3rd tornado.  Application can be filled out at the local Smith County FSA office through May 8th.  For complete details please call 615-735-9880, extension 2.

 

The Smith County School System is conducting a county wide search for children with disabilities,  ages birth thru 21, who are not currently in school or enrolled in a program for the disabled but are in need of special education services.  If you know of such a child call please call 615-735-2187.

 

 
The Upper Cumberland Area Agency on Aging and Disability is now offering application assistance the SNAP Food Stamp Program for those over 60 and those with disabilities.   Qualified applicants can call their local coordinator at 931-476-4119 for free assistance. 
 
 
LBJ&C Headstart is currently accepting applications to provide free comprehensive child development services to children 3-5 years of age for all children including children with disabilities in a full day program.  For complete details call your Smith County Head Start Center at 615-735-1868.
