The Smith County Rescue Squad will be holding their annual roadblock fundraiser this Saturday in Carthage, South Carthage and Gordonsville. The roadblock will begin at 8am and
will run until Noon. The funds collected will assist the Squad in their day-to-day operations. In the event of inclement weather, the fundraiser will be held on Saturday, April 8th.
The Gordonsville Events Committee will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday at Ivey Agee Park In Gordonsville. The Easter Egg hunt will begin at Noon and is open to
all children in Smith County. Children will be grouped in categories, 0-3, 4-7 and 8-12. There will be lots of candy and prizes.
The Amvets Ladies Auxilary 389 will host Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 8th from 8-10am at their meeting hall at 215 Main Street North in Carthage. The
cost is $10 per plate and will include pancakes, eggs and bacon or sausage. All parents are encouraged to bring their kids to meet the Easter Bunny.
The Annual Large Spring Consignment Sale will be held at the Pleasant Shade Community Center Thursday and Friday, March 30th & 31st from 9am-6pm and Saturday, April 1st from

Smith County Humane will hold their annual Pancakes for Paws benefit Breakfast on Saturday, April 1st from 7-10am at the Smith County Ag Center. A benefit auction will follow at the Ag
Center from 11am - 7pm. Bidder registration will begin at 9am. Smith County Humane is a 501 (C) 3 organization.
