The Smith County Health Department and the Tennessee Department of Health will be providing free flu shots on Tuesday, October 21st at Crump Paris Park in Gordonsville. The 19th Annual Chad's Run 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk will be held Saturday, November 1st at Gordonsville High School at 9am. Race Day Registration will begin at 8:30. A Halloween Trunk or Treat will be held at Chestnut Mound Christian Fellowship Church, 916 Cookeville Highway in Chestnut Mound, Friday October 31st from 5-8pm. There will be hot dogs, drinks and goodies for the whole family.

The Smith County School Board wants to remind the community that School Bus Drivers are needed. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, must be 25 years of age with a clean driving record, must pass a background check and drug screening and requires a DOT Physical and CDL with S & P endorements.
